Tobacco Cessation Coaching
You can take steps to get healthier by enrolling in free tobacco cessation coaching from Horizon BCBS through WebMD®.
If your health plan covers WebMD smoking cessation coaching, you have access to ongoing, one-on-one assistance from a trained coach who can help you quit for good.
First, Take the Health Assessment
To find out if your smoking frequency qualifies you for coaching, use My Health Manager to take the Health Assessment.
Next, Get the Results
After you complete the assessment, you will see your results, including health risks.
If the assessment determines your smoking frequency qualifies you for coaching, My Health Manager will provide you with information about how to schedule a call with a coach.
Now You’re Ready for Coaching
Regardless of your smoking frequency, you are not required to participate in smoking cessation coaching. However, the program has been successful in helping many people reach their health goals. In fact, 54 percent of those engaged in WebMD’s Smoking Cessation Coaching program successfully quit smoking.1
Over the course of 12 weeks, your coach will break the quitting process down into achievable steps and support you along the way. Your coach also will help you identify and develop habits that can keep you tobacco free.
You and your coach will establish a schedule for calls, but you’re welcome to call, email or text your coach whenever you need motivation or have a question.
