EFT Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Are reimbursements for all Horizon BCBSNJ products made electronically?
A. All claims processed for services provided to members enrolled in Horizon BCBSNJ plans are made via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) for providers receiving EFT.
Q. What do I do if my bank information changes?
If your banking arrangements change, simply sign in to NaviNet, go to the EFT Registration transaction and update the banking information online. After the update, a new set of test deposits will be conducted. Once the administrator confirms the test deposits, the EFT routing will change to the new bank account.
Q. What if I do not register to receive EFT?
A. Horizon has moved away from making claim payments using printed checks. If you are a provider not registered to receive Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payments for reimbursement for your claim submissions, payments are made via a single use account (SUA) paper card. Visit our Single Use Account (SUA) Cards webpage for more information.
Q. I received reimbursement for a Horizon claim submission via a single use account (SUA) paper card. Where can I get information about SUA cards?
A. If you are a provider not registered to receive EFT payments for reimbursement for your claim submissions will be made via a SUA paper card. If you are not registered to receive EFT, you will automatically receive SUA paper card payments. Visit HorizonBlue.com/SUA for information.
