Modifier Policies Effective May 1, 2014

Effective May 1, 2014, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey will implement changes to our policies and procedures regarding the reimbursement of claims appended with modifiers 52, 53, 54, 55, 56 and 73.

Claims for services provided on and after May 1, 2014 to members enrolled in any Horizon BCBSNJ plan will be processed and reimbursed according to our modifier reimbursement policies listed below:
