FDA Safety Alert: Lamictal

On March 31, 2021, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) alerted the public that there is potential increased risk of arrhythmias in patients with heart disease who are taking the seizure and mental health medicine Lamictal® (lamotrigine). The FDA is conducting a comprehensive review, and will update the public with any new information. Please consider this safety information when deciding whether to continue prescribing lamotrigine.
