eviCore PA/MND Status Inquiries Made Easier

Horizon BCBSNJ is pleased to announce that eviCore healthcare (eviCore) has enhanced their Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system to make it easier for you to get the status of a Prior Authorization (PA) or Medical Necessity Determination (MND).

Beginning June 23, 2020, when you call eviCore at 1-866-496-6200 and select the Authorizations option you can get case status automatically. You will not have to wait to speak with a representative.

If the case is not approved, (i.e., Denied, Partially Denied, Unable to Approve) the system will provide information about the case status including the ability to speak with an eviCore representative to discuss case details and next steps that may be taken.

The eviCore IVR system is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and will provide case status information for all Horizon BCBSNJ programs managed by eviCore healthcare.

eviCore healthcare is an independent company that supports Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey in the provision of Prior Authorization and/or Medical Necessity Review (PA/MND) of certain services.
