Access Member Benefit Information Instantly

Now, more than ever, you may need to access member benefit information when a hard copy ID card is not available. We want to remind you how you can easily access Horizon BCBSNJ digital member ID cards.

NaviNet®
You can verify your patients’ coverage through NaviNet, even before your patient arrives. Access the Eligibility and Benefits Inquiry section to get all the information you need. You can check membership, verify coverage and see other important information, including an image of the member ID card.

View or print a copy of an ID card from NaviNet

  • Select Horizon BCBSNJ within the My Health Plans menu.
  • Mouse over Eligibility & Benefits and select Eligibility & Benefits Inquiry.
  • Enter your patient’s Horizon BCBSNJ member ID number and then click Search. You may also search by the member’s first name, last name and date of birth if you do not have the member ID number.
  • Select View next to the member’s name in the member ID card column.

Horizon Blue app
Members can email or text a copy of their member ID card from wherever they are to your practice through the Horizon Blue app.

Secure Member Web Portal
Horizon BCBSNJ members can also send you their ID card by signing in to the secure member web portal HorizonBlue.com. They can download the ID card image and then email it.

You can easily attach/add a digital version of the member ID card to a patient’s electronic health record and it can never be lost, forgotten or damaged.
