As a Horizon health plan member, you can get a flu shot and other immunizations, including shingles, hepatitis A and B, pneumococcal and human papillomavirus (HPV), at no cost when you go to in-network doctors and certain pharmacies.
Where to Get a Flu Shot
No matter where you live, you have choices about where to get a flu shot at no cost to you. You can get your flu shot:
At your in-network doctor's office. Keep in mind that if your doctor provides care or treatment in addition to the immunization, you may have to pay a copay, coinsurance and/or deductible for your other care or treatment.
- At a pharmacy:
- — Go to a MinuteClinic® at select CVS locations.
- — Ask your local pharmacist if they accept your Horizon BCBS health plan.
- Some pharmacies are limited to providing immunizations to members based on the member's age and other criteria.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist
When you should get your immunizations depends on your age and health history. Talk to your doctor about which immunizations are right for you and your covered family members.
