Cancer Care Support
Each cancer patient is different, but they all share a common goal: being cancer-free. Getting there can be challenging, though, and making the right medical decisions can be overwhelming. Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield’s Cancer Care Support Program can make it a little easier.
We know many cancer patients can feel more empowered to make decisions about their care if they have a solid understanding of the disease and the medical and surgical treatment options for their specific type and stage. The registered nurses of our program support our members’ existing diagnoses and treatment plans, and provide one-on-one education and health counseling around topics such as:
- Receiving a new diagnosis
- Treatment options
- Nutritional information or counseling
- Concurrent health issues
- Custom clinical research and follow-up
Participation in our Cancer Care Support Program is voluntary and comes at no additional cost to eligible members.
To enroll yourself or an eligible dependent, call 1-888-624-3096, select option 1 for English and option 4 to be connected with a Cancer Care Nurse. Nurses are available to help Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Eastern Time.
