Understanding Your Premium Bill
Understanding your health insurance information and what you are paying is an important step in managing your health care. This guide will help you understand your premium bill.
This number is different from your member ID number. You must include your account number on your check or money order when mailing your payment. If you have more than one insurance plan from Horizon BCBSNJ and are paying online, remember to select the correct account number from the drop down menu. To pay online, sign in here.
This is the day your payment is due. Please send your payment before the due date shown on the bill to allow for time to process and post to your account.
Summary of transactions
This section shows your previous balance, any payments Horizon BCBSNJ has already received and the amount of money the federal government is providing to help you pay for your health insurance, if applicable.
Pay this amount
This is the total amount you owe Horizon BCBSNJ at the time this invoice was processed. A payment made after the date on the invoice may not be shown. To get your current balance, please sign in and click My Accounts. Then click Payment Center. The amount you owe, as well as other billing info, will be accessible from this screen.
You can pay your premium payment online using your checking account, debit card or credit card or enroll in auto pay. Simply register or sign in and then click My Accounts. Then click Payment Center.
