May Is Mental Health Awareness Month

As we continue learning about how mental health affects our well-being, we recognize that our mental and physical health are equally important.

According to The Center for Workplace Mental Health, part of the American Psychiatric Association, nearly nine out of 10 employees report that their workplace stress affects their mental health. Too much stress can cause harmful health effects, including increased anxiety and depression, and reduced immune system response.

That’s why there’s no better time than now to remind your covered employees of the resources on our behavioral health site that can support their mental and emotional health.

Horizon Behavioral Health Provides Support and Treatment

Through Horizon Behavioral Health, your covered employees and their covered dependents can search among more than 8,600 in-network behavioral health care professionals or facilities to find those who fit their specific needs and goals. We’re proud that our behavioral health network grew by 17 percent in 2021, and we continue recruiting qualified behavioral health professionals every day.

Horizon Behavioral Health can help your covered employees and their covered dependents get:

  • Help coordinating care with all treating doctors and health care professionals
  • The right follow-up care and support
  • Urgent and/or virtual care — we’ve added more teletherapy and telepsychiatry options to improve timely access to care
  • Help understanding their behavioral health benefits to get the most from their plan

We’re Here to Help

When facing a mental health challenge, it’s easy to feel isolated. However, Horizon Behavioral Health can help your covered employees and their covered dependents find the care and support they need.
