During the COVID-19 pandemic, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey (Horizon BCBSNJ) continues our commitment to helping your covered employees get the information and care they need, when they need it.
As the public health emergency continues to evolve and vaccines become available, we are committed to providing information to your employees about the COVID-19 vaccines. That’s why we created our digital booklet, Every shot counts — the COVID-19 vaccines. This booklet provides answers to questions that your employees may have about the available vaccines. The booklet explains that:
- Getting a COVID-19 vaccine is one of the best ways to prevent infection. In addition to getting the vaccine, we encourage all members to continue protecting themselves by wearing a mask, practicing social distancing, washing their hands and staying home if they are sick.
- COVID-19 vaccines are available at no cost. However, because your employees may be asked to show proof of coverage when getting the vaccine, we advise them to bring their member ID card to their vaccination appointment or be ready to display their member ID card digitally.
