Honoring Dr. King’s Legacy

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday provides us the opportunity to reflect on the progress we’ve made as a country on racial equity and the need to continue these conversations.

Horizon will continue to leverage resources such as our Diversity Council, the Horizon Foundation and Affinity groups to ensure we are actively engaged in our communities and honor Dr. King’s legacy through acts of service.

Although all Horizon offices will be closed to observe this holiday, let's celebrate with a "day on, not a day off."

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a world-renowned civil rights activist and faith leader, whose contributions to social justice and anti-discrimination laid the foundation to equity for minorities in this country.

As we reflect on Dr. King’s actions and accomplishments, let’s remember to not only empower our members to achieve their best health, but also serve our communities throughout the state of New Jersey.

Make an ‘act of service’ plan with your family, friends and community members to ensure Dr. King’s legacy lives on.

So yeah, it’s on.
