Retirement and Savings Plan: You start planning for your future from the first day of employment.

  • Horizon BCBSNJ offers a 401(k) Savings and Investment Plan. The Company will match 50 percent of the first six percent of your pre-tax contributions to a maximum of three percent of your base pay. You are automatically enrolled in the Plan at a six percent contribution rate unless you make a different election or waive participation on the Fidelity Investments 401(k) website.
  • Horizon BCBSNJ will also contribute an additional four percent into your employee’s Savings and Investment Plan as “Horizon BCBSNJ Retirement Contributions” (HRCs). HRCs are made in addition to any contribution you make, the Company’s match, and any catch-up contributions, if applicable. You will be vested in the Company match and HRCs after you complete three years of service.
