New Vision Plans: Horizon Focus Coverage for Eyeglasses and Contact Lenses Available January 1, 2021

Applies to: Large Group market, including Labor and Public Sector accounts

For many people, taking care of their eyes can be complicated, expensive and exhausting. Even if they have medical coverage for an eye exam, they may have to pay out of their own pocket for glasses or contact lenses. And most people require some form of vision correction — 75 percent of Americans require glasses or contact lenses.

That’s why Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey (Horizon BCBSNJ) is launching three new vision plans covering eyeglasses and contact lenses. These Horizon Focus plans are designed to complement the eye exam coverage included with the medical plans available to the Large Group market, including Labor and Public Sector accounts.

Horizon Focus I, Horizon Focus II and Horizon Focus III are available to eligible employer group accounts for effective dates beginning January 1, 2021.
