Member ID Cards Available Anytime, Anywhere

Applies to: All markets (excludes accounts that do not offer secure access to sign in to HorizonBlue.com)

Our members have options for sharing coverage information when they are signed in to the Horizon Blue app and HorizonBlue.com.

Please share this flyer with your new and existing customers to show them how easy it is to access a member ID card virtually.

Get member information on the go
Members can use the Horizon Blue app1 to access their member ID cards quickly. After downloading the app and signing in, a member can simply tap ID Cards and follow on-screen prompts to view, download or share their member ID card with their doctors and covered dependents by email or text. Members can order replacement cards through the app, and those who use the app on an iPhone® can save their member ID card to Apple Wallet, a convenient way to store this important information.

And, that’s not all. When signed in, our fully insured members can also chat with a nurse 24/7, connect with a doctor through video or chat, and review claims information.

Get member information online
Members can also view their member ID cards by signing in to HorizonBlue.com. Once signed in, members simply select ID Cards and follow the on-screen prompts to print, download or request a replacement card.

Like the app, HorizonBlue.com offers options for fully insured members to chat with a nurse 24/7, connect with a doctor through video or chat, and review claims information.

Members who don't see their member ID card when signed in, can view and print a proof of coverage letter, which includes the same information as a member ID card.

We’re telling our network about digital member ID cards
Horizon continues to work with our network providers to help them accept digital member ID cards from their Horizon patients. We let them know that:

  • Digital member ID cards are a secure way to access up-to-date member information when members need care.
  • Doctor’s office staff can verify a member’s coverage, before they arrive at the office or during a telemedicine appointment, without needing a physical member ID card.
  • Limiting unnecessary interactions can help reduce office wait times and keep members and staff safe.

Helping your clients and their covered employees access and use their Horizon health plan information and benefits is just one of the ways we’re here for our members, now and always.
