Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey welcomes new vice president for Internal Auditing
Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey (Horizon BCBSNJ) today announced that Kathleen Swain has joined the company’s leadership team as its new Vice President for Internal Audit. Swain will be responsible for maintaining best practice audit methodologies and the delivery of an internal audit plan to support Horizon BCBSNJ’s system of internal controls. “Kathy Swain is a great addition to the team as she brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership experience in auditing and accounting,” said David R. Huber, senior vice president and chief financial officer for Horizon BCBSNJ. Prior to joining Horizon BCBSNJ, Swain served as senior vice president, Internal Audit for Allstate Insurance Company. In this role, Swain developed and implemented a risk-based transformational strategy for Allstate’s Internal Audit Group. Swain earned a BS in Accounting from Marquette University and her MBA from Loyola University with a concentration in Finance. Swain is also a Certified Public Accountant.
